The Royal Trek Created for Prince Charles, is the perfect introduction to trekking or a great way to fit a bit of trekking into a short visit. This short trek follows the path along the foothills of Annapurna, north of Pokhara valley. Starting from Kalikastan ridge, about 25 km from Pokhara the trek passes through beautiful Gurung villages and terraced farmland overlooking magnificent Annapurna range, Machapuchhere [fishtail peak] Langtang Himal etc. and finally end at Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City.

This trip is basically recommended for the beginners or those who have very limited time looking for an opportunity to experience the taste of trekking holidays in the Himalaya. The entire trek is rather easy with occasional up and downhill walks along the ridges and valleys without having to worry about altitude and acclimatization as the maximum ascent on this trek is Chisapani at 1260 meter. However, this is also a good option to extend cultural tour of Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan by combining this trek to get the overall taste of Nepal.
